BMK Finder: Model GPS Locator

BMK Finder turns your phone into a large, sunlight-readable screen for the BMK FlexiDisplay GPS locator system. The GPS beacon in your model sends its position and altitude to the FlexiDisplay hand unit, and BMK Finder shows everything live on a map over Bluetooth, so you can walk straight to your model after it lands in tall crops, woodland or the far corner of the field.

Made for free flight, gliders, RC aircraft, rockets and any model that carries a BMK beacon.

FIND YOUR MODEL
• Live beacon position on satellite, hybrid or street maps
• Distance and direction to your model, with a compass-aligned map and heading cone
• Search mode: spoken guidance every few seconds ("getting closer", "model at 2 o'clock", distance), working from the last known position even after the signal drops
• Zoom right in to pinpoint the landing spot
• Map areas you have already viewed stay available offline (Android)

KEEP YOUR EYES UP
• Clear British English voice callouts for altitude, climb rate and distance at the interval you choose (15 s to 2 min)
• Maximum altitude announced as soon as the model starts to descend
• Status alerts: GPS lost or regained, weak GPS, weak radio signal, model stationary, low battery on beacon or hand unit, hand unit disconnected
• One-tap spoken status summary

UNDERSTAND YOUR FLIGHT
• Live altitude profile under the map
• Altitude Graph with maximum and minimum altitude, best climb and fastest descent
• Compare any two points: time, altitude change, average vertical speed and distance
• Keep only the part of the recording you need
• Flight Logs: download flights recorded by the hand unit, view them, and export as CSV or KML for Google Earth
• Export the live flight path to Excel (date, time, latitude, longitude, altitude)

MANAGE YOUR HARDWARE
• Several beacons in one list, with names and a "my beacons" filter
• Device settings: channel, RDT code and name
• Firmware updates for FlexiDisplay receivers and SkyLink modules from inside the app
• Automatic reconnection to your last hand unit

DESIGNED FOR THE FIELD
• High-contrast, colour-blind friendly layout for bright sunlight
• Metric or imperial units
• Adjustable low-battery thresholds for beacon and hand unit

WHAT YOU NEED
BMK Finder works with BMK hardware: a FlexiDisplay hand unit (Bluetooth) and one or more BMK GPS beacons fitted to your models. Bluetooth and location permissions are used to connect to the hand unit and to show your own position on the map.
