About Scratch 3.0 Coding Lessons
Learn Scratch 3.0 step by step with 14 interactive lessons arranged in a clear path, hands-on tools to try blocks yourself, and quizzes that check what you understood.
✔ A structured learning path
Lessons are grouped into 4 units: editor basics, making things move, logic and flow, and data and structure. Each lesson is short and focused, using cards, numbered points, steps and tips instead of long text, plus a quick check question in most lessons.
✔ Scratch-style blocks inside every lesson
Scripts are drawn as colored blocks similar to the editor: Motion, Looks, Events, Control, Sensing, Operators and Variables, so every explanation connects directly to the code you will build.
✔ What you will learn
The editor, sprites, costumes and backdrops, stage x and y coordinates and direction, motion and events, looks and sound, loops and conditionals, sensing and user input, variables and lists, math and text operators, broadcasts and clones, custom blocks and debugging, and how to save and share projects.
✔ Three interactive tools
• Sprite Sandbox: snap motion and pen blocks, run them and watch the sprite draw a square or a star.
• Stage XY Finder: tap the stage to read x and y, set a direction on a dial, and get the matching block.
• Operator Lab: try 16 Scratch operators with your own values and see the result instantly.
✔ Short lessons linked to the tools
Each lesson takes about 5 to 7 minutes, and some include a button that opens the matching tool: from coordinates to the Stage XY Finder, from loops to the Sprite Sandbox, and from operators to the Operator Lab. Learn the idea, then apply it right away.
✔ Two quizzes
Block Know-How covers the editor, categories and blocks. Predict the Result shows a script and asks for its output. Each quiz has 10 questions with explanations and a full answer review.
✔ Track your progress
Completed lessons, best quiz scores and progress for every unit are saved on your device.
Made for beginners in block coding, students and teachers. Start the first lesson, then apply what you learn in your own Scratch 3.0 projects.
This is an independent educational app. It is not affiliated with Scratch, the Scratch Foundation or MIT.
