Watch Tower Pro maps 670,344 documented public surveillance cameras worldwide and can alert you, quietly and on-device, when you come within range of one.

WHAT IS IN THE DATABASE

• 670,344 camera locations, bundled inside the app
• 283,542 CCTV · 152,460 automated license-plate readers · 89,841 dome · 77,914 speed · 12,387 traffic · 1,533 red-light · 52,667 other
• 667,423 locations from OpenStreetMap, contributed by volunteers and published under the Open Database License
• 2,921 locations published openly by government transportation agencies — the twelve Caltrans districts in California and the New Zealand Transport Agency

Every camera is a documented LOCATION, not a live picture. The marker tells you surveillance is present at that spot; the detail screen gives the operator, the camera type, and a link to the original public record.

THE CAMERA DATA NEVER LEAVES YOUR DEVICE

The entire database ships inside the app and is loaded into on-device storage on first launch. No camera lookup is ever sent anywhere — not a search, not a map pan, not an alert. The background map tiles are streamed from OpenFreeMap and need a connection; the camera data itself never does.

PROXIMITY ALERTS

Turn on alerts and Android's own Geofencing API watches for you. Your location is processed on-device by the operating system — Watch Tower Pro never receives raw background location and never transmits any location off your phone.

• Set the alert radius from 50 m to 1 km
• Overlapping cameras are grouped into one notification instead of a burst
• Travel mode widens coverage automatically when you are moving at speed

MAP AND NEARBY

• Search any city, address or place
• Filter the map by camera category
• Nearby lists the closest documented cameras within 8 km, ordered by distance
• Distances shown in your own units

WHAT THIS APP IS NOT

It is an awareness tool. It is not a counter-surveillance product, not a navigation aid, and not a guarantee that no camera is watching you. The absence of a marker is not evidence that no camera is present — most public surveillance cameras worldwide are in no open database at all. Coverage varies enormously by region and depends entirely on what volunteers and agencies have documented.

Do not use it while driving, and do not use it to interfere with lawful operations.

PRIVACY

No account. No sign-in. No analytics, no advertising, no trackers, no profiles. BlackFox Media LLC operates no server for this app and receives nothing about how you use it.
