Roost: Hen Logic Puzzle

Welcome to the farmyard! Roost is a calm logic puzzle. The yard is fenced into colourful coops, and your job is to settle the hens: exactly one hen in every coop, every row and every column, and no two hens may touch, not even diagonally. Every puzzle has exactly one answer, and you can always reach it by thinking it through. No guessing, no timers to beat, no lives to lose.

Tap a cell once to mark it empty, twice to place a hen. Drag across cells to mark a whole row at once. When you place a hen, Roost can grey out every cell it rules out, so you see the consequences straight away.

As you go, the farm gets busier:
• Nests with numbers that tell you how many hens sit around them
• Hay bales that no hen can stand on
• Big coops, where every coop, row and column needs two hens
• Foxes that keep hens away from their row and column
• Feed troughs that need exactly one hen beside them
