About OVERHEAR

Overhear is a mobile app that geotags recorded content to locations for users to collect.
Overhear puts poetry on the map, literally. Working with local writers and independent venues, we pin specially commissioned poems to the venues they are inspired by, ready to be collected using our mobile app.
Users can also upload their own poems via out website www.theoverhear.app

What’s new

Version 3.8.1 · Updated September 20, 2026

Coming 1 October: a new way to walk with OVERHEAR. Follow a route, collect as you go, and hear the places around you differently. Occasions: private maps for celebrations, memorials and workshops. Open a collect link to see a short film, then walk to each pin to collect the messages left for you. Mixed-rating pins stay visible when a recording in your age band remains. A short first-time film shows how to move, collect and listen.
