About Origami 3D: Learn & Play

πŸ“„ Learn origami properly β€” one fold at a time, in 3D

Paper diagrams ask you to work out what a dotted line means and which layer is
supposed to move. Origami 3D shows you. Every fold happens on a real sheet you
can turn around, watch again, and take apart.

🎯 A COURSE, NOT A PILE OF MODELS

Seven modules, 28 lessons, each one teaching a single idea and ending with
something you can keep:

β€’ First folds β€” getting a square from any paper, and the only two folds
that exist: valley and mountain. Ends with a samurai hat.
β€’ Reading a fold β€” which layer moves, and which way the paper turns over.
Cat face, dog face, house.
β€’ Landing on a mark β€” folding an edge onto a line instead of near it.
Kite base, fox face, cup, penguin, sailboat.
β€’ Corners to the centre β€” symmetry, and landing four points on one spot.
Blintz base, heart, pinwheel, fortune teller, envelope, masu box.
β€’ The collapse β€” precreasing, then letting several creases move at once.
Waterbomb base, balloon, butterfly, jumping frog, tulip, boat.
β€’ The crane β€” the preliminary base, the bird base, and the model everyone
means when they say origami.
β€’ Points from an edge β€” the fish base, the rabbit ear, the reverse fold.

That's 6 bases, 2 techniques and 20 finished models. Each lesson takes 2 to 12
minutes.

πŸ”„ A VIEWER THAT ACTUALLY SHOWS THE FOLD

β€’ Rotate and zoom the paper with your finger β€” look at the fold from any angle
β€’ Step through fold by fold, or scrub back and forth to watch one again
β€’ Split layers to see exactly what is sitting on top of what
β€’ Slow it down when a move happens too fast to follow
β€’ Flip the model to see the fold from the other side
β€’ Left-handed mode, so the paper turns the way your hands do
β€’ Plain-language notes on every step, with a "watch this" line for the part
people get wrong

πŸ“΄ WORKS COMPLETELY OFFLINE

The 3D engine and every model are built into the app. No downloads after
install, no waiting on a connection, nothing to load. Fold on a plane, on a
train, or in a room with no signal at all.

πŸ™… NO ACCOUNT, NO SIGN-UP

You open the app and start folding. There is no login, no email, no profile.
Your progress is stored on your own device, and only there.

βœ‚οΈ WHAT YOU NEED

Square paper. That's it. And if you only have A4 or Letter, the very first
lesson shows you how to get a square out of it.

πŸŽ“ GOOD FOR

βœ“ Complete beginners who have never folded anything
βœ“ Anyone who has tried origami books and got stuck on the diagrams
βœ“ Parents and kids folding together
βœ“ Teachers looking for a rainy-day activity
βœ“ Anyone who wants to fold a crane and mean it

🧩 HONEST ABOUT ITS LIMITS

The folding engine models one straight crease at a time on flat paper, which is
what makes the 3D so clear. A couple of traditional models involve a move it
cannot represent honestly β€” those lessons are marked in the app and stop where
the engine stops, rather than faking the fold. Three more lessons are still
being made and are shown as coming soon.

πŸ”’ PRIVACY

No account, no personal information, nothing you type. The app sends anonymous
usage statistics and crash reports so we can see which lessons people get stuck
on and fix what breaks. That's the only thing that leaves your device.
