Chalisa is a spiritual form of a prayer in Hinduism, in which there are forty verses in praise of the Great GOD. Chalisa of different deities are very popular among devotees and it is believed that a common man can get the blessings of his deity by reciting the Chalisa with devotion. The chalisas are in Hindi and hence anyone can pronounce them easily, whereas the mantra are in Sanskrit and are difficult for common man to recite.
