TollGate: Earn Screen Time

A blocker you can turn off isn't a blocker.

TollGate charges you a physical toll to get into the apps that eat your day. Pick the ones that pull you in. When you open one, TollGate asks for push-ups or jumping jacks — counted by your camera, on your device — before it lets you through. Pay the toll, get 15 minutes. Then the gate closes again.

Willpower is a resource you spend down over the day. Friction is a cost you pay every time, no matter how tired you are. Only one of those still works at 11pm.

EARN YOUR SCREEN TIME
• Choose exactly which apps are gated, and on what schedule
• Opening one costs reps — you set how many
• Paying buys a timed window, then the gate closes again
• Optional escalation: the fifth visit costs more than the first

ALARMS THAT DON'T TAKE NO
Set a wake-up gate and the alarm doesn't stop until the reps are done. Prop the phone up, get on the floor, and the day starts with something already paid for. Snoozes are finite and the app tells you how many are left.

YOUR CAMERA COUNTS, YOUR PHONE KEEPS IT
Reps are verified on-device with pose detection. TollGate checks your form — elbow angle for push-ups, arm elevation for jumping jacks — flags half reps, rejects reps too fast to be real, and stops counting if you leave the frame.

Nothing is recorded. Nothing is saved. Nothing is uploaded. The camera feed never leaves your phone.

BUILT TO BE KEPT
• XP, levels and streaks for showing up
• Achievements for the milestones that matter
• A leaderboard, if you want someone to chase
• Full stats: reps, form quality, time spent, where your gates bite hardest

AN HONEST ESCAPE HATCH
People get injured. Emergencies happen. There is always a way out of a toll — it costs XP and breaks your streak, but it's there. If you want it gone, Strict Mode removes it. That's your choice to make, not ours.

SUBSCRIPTION
TollGate is $59.99/year (that's $5.00/month) with a 3-day free trial, or $14.99/month. Cancel any time in your account settings.
