Beacon: Where Plans Happen

You don't swipe. You don't scroll a feed of strangers' parties.

Beacon works the other way round. You drop a beacon — what you want to do, roughly where, roughly when — and it does the work of finding the people who want the same thing. Pickup soccer at the park on Saturday. Coffee downtown this afternoon. Climbing somewhere this weekend, details to be figured out.

How it works

Drop a beacon. Say what you want to do, pick a spot on the map and a time window. It takes seconds. You don't need a plan, a venue or a guest list — just the intent.

See what's already lit up. The map shows what people near you are up to right now. Tap a pin to see the plan and who's going. Join with one tap.

Meet up. When people converge on a beacon, chat opens so you can sort out the details. When it's time, the map helps you actually find each other.

Made for spontaneity

Most plans die in a group chat. Beacon is built for the opposite — the plan that happens this afternoon because three people saw the same beacon and said yes. Set the areas you're usually around and Beacon quietly surfaces what's nearby.

Perks

Local businesses put offers on Beacon that unlock when a plan actually happens. You can't hoard them or redeem them alone — they're a reason to get a group out the door.

Built for real life, so built carefully

You choose what you share, and with whom. Your saved places are yours alone.
Precise location sharing with other people is off unless you switch it on, for one session at a time.
Report and block are on every surface — profiles, beacons, messages and whole conversations.
Beacon is for adults, 18 and over.
Beacon is free.
