TanWise: Tan Timer & UV Index

TanWise is the tan timer that keeps working when your phone doesn't. Lock the screen, flip over, fall asleep in the sun: your flip and sunscreen alarms still fire, out loud, on time.

THE TIMER YOU CAN ACTUALLY TRUST
Every session is scheduled up front as real Android alarms, plus an ongoing notification that counts down to your next flip. The app does not need to be open and your phone does not need to be awake. Alarms survive a restart, even before you unlock the phone.

UV DATA YOU CAN CHECK
Your live UV index, today's hourly curve, the best tanning window and the outlook for the coming days come from Apple Weather (WeatherKit), shown in the app as "Powered by Apple Weather". No mystery numbers.

MADE FOR YOUR SKIN, WHATEVER YOUR SKIN
A respectful six-type skin quiz personalizes your burn time, safe session length and flip schedule. Fair, olive, brown or deep ebony: every tone gets first-class guidance, with sunscreen SPF factored in.

FREE FOREVER, AND WE MEAN IT
The tan timer, live UV index and hourly curve, best time to tan, audible alarms, today's vitamin D estimate, the UV home screen widget, and full CSV export of your sessions. No trial required, no lockout after a quiz, no tricks.

TANWISE PRO (optional)
- Your full sun history: weekly rings, 30-day chart and every session on record
- 7-day burn-time forecast so you can plan beach days around your skin
- Family profiles with per-person guidance (great for fair-skinned kids)

Pro is offered as a weekly or annual auto-renewing subscription with a free trial for new subscribers, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app by Google Play before you buy. Subscriptions renew until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time in Google Play. The free features stay free either way.

PERMISSIONS, EXPLAINED
- Location (approximate only): used to fetch the UV index for roughly where you are. It is rounded to about 1 km on your phone and sent only to our own UV service to look up the forecast. Precise and background location are never requested. Without it, the timer still works.
- Notifications: for flip, sunscreen and session-end alerts and the countdown notification.
- Alarms & reminders (exact alarms): so a flip or sunscreen reminder fires at the exact minute it is due with the phone locked. If you do not allow it, reminders may arrive a few minutes late.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No ads. No analytics or third-party trackers. Your sessions and profiles live on your phone (and in your own Android device backup, if you use it).
