Sektar

Sektar is an independent community app for people who live in housing societies across Pakistan. More than 900 societies are listed, in cities including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Hyderabad.

Sign in with your mobile number (the code comes on WhatsApp), with Google, or with email.

• Today in your society: prayer times for where you are, weather and notices
• Shops and food: order from local shops, restaurants and home kitchens, with delivery by riders or collection from the shop
• Home services: find a plumber, electrician, tutor or other worker near you and send a request
• Market: buy and sell, cars, motorbikes and property in your society
• Status: report electricity, water, gas and internet outages and confirm reports from neighbours
• Complaints board: raise problems about roads, lights and maintenance and follow them until they are fixed
• Chats, neighbours and groups
• Moving house? Move to another society when you are in or near it
• Work modes for shop owners, riders and workers, and Sektar Partners who register shops, riders and workers in their own society
• English and Urdu

Residents of each society post, sell and take part; anyone else can look around as a Visitor. To join as a Resident, the app checks your location once. Only the result of that check is kept, never your location. Riders and workers share their location only while they are online, with a notification showing the whole time.

Sektar is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any housing society, its developer or its management.
