About Astronomy Clock

The Astronomy Clock Android application reads the GPS location of the mobile device, and computes rise and set times for: the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. This allows observers to conveniently plan their astronomy viewing nights in advance, quickly and easily, from the palm of their hands.

The application is currently in a testing phase, so please provide feedback at [email protected]. Be sure to provide your approximate GPS location, your mobile device information, and the time that you experience an error, and a description of the error. This will allow the app to be developed to a state that is useful for all people.

Twilight information will be added soon. Additional information may be added to the app based on user demand or suggestion. For example, approximate rise direction/azimuth, moon phase, and Android wear integration, etc. Any other suggestions would be welcomed.
