Get more out of your jbl soundgear clips with a companion guide to the JBL Headphones app and the earbuds' open-ear design.

This app walks through pairing, multipoint connections, call clarity settings, and battery planning step by step.

WHAT'S INSIDE

JBL Headphones App Setup & First-Day Setup Checklist
This section covers downloading the JBL Headphones app, connecting it to the Soundgear Clips, and what it unlocks beyond basic Bluetooth playback including EQ presets, a 10-band equalizer, and gesture customization along with a first-day checklist for getting the earbuds set up.

Fast Pair vs Standard Bluetooth Pairing & Pairing Path Decision Tree
This section explains the difference between one-tap pairing through Google Fast Pair on Android and standard manual Bluetooth pairing, and walks through a decision tree for picking the right pairing path depending on the device being connected.

Multi-Point for Two Devices
This section covers pairing the Soundgear Clips to two Bluetooth devices at once and switching audio between them, such as moving from a phone call to audio playing on a laptop without re-pairing.

Open-Ear Use Mode Finder
This section covers how the open-ear clip design sits on the ear rather than inside the ear canal, and helps match that fit to situations such as staying aware of surroundings during a commute or workout.

Mic Mode and Call Clarity Explorer
This section covers the four beamforming microphones, how to choose single or dual mic pickup per earbud in the JBL Headphones app, and how the noise reduction processing is designed to keep calls clear in outdoor or windy settings.

Battery Facts Without Confusion
This section lays out the Soundgear Clips' battery figures clearly up to 8 hours of playtime per charge, up to 32 hours total with the case, and up to 4 hours of continuous talk time -- so there is no confusion between playback time and talk time when planning daily use.

10-Minute Speed Charge Planner
This section covers the quick-charge feature, where about 10 minutes in the case is rated to add roughly 3 hours of playtime, plus the roughly 2-hour time needed for a full charge from empty.

IP54 for Real-World Use
This section explains what the IP54 water and dust resistance rating covers in everyday situations such as light rain, sweat, or dusty environments, and what it does not cover, such as submersion.
