Drag across the ground to lay a scent trail from the nest to food. Your ants find it, follow it, and carry food home — every one of them thinking for itself. Draw a good route and the colony hums. Draw a bad one and watch them wander.

KEEP YOUR NETWORK ALIVE
Trails fade. A route you stop tending goes cold, and the colony drifts back to searching. Branch out to new food, rub out dead ends, and reroute around trouble.

DEFEND YOUR LINE
Spiders, scorpions and mantises park on your busiest trail and pick off the ants walking it. Beetles shrug off attacks. Raiders go straight for your food store. Hatch soldiers to fight back, tap threats to strike them yourself, or simply draw a smarter route around them.

WATCH THE SKY
Rockfall casts a shadow before it lands. Clear the trail out from under it in time, or lose every ant beneath — and the rock stays, changing the board for good.

WEATHER CHANGES EVERYTHING
Rain and downpours wash trails away. Sandstorms blind the colony. Heat and drought burn through your stores. Humid air makes trails hold — enjoy it while it lasts.

EIGHT REAL ANT SPECIES
Black garden ants, wood ants, leafcutters, harvesters, army ants, honeypots, weavers and fire ants. Each has its own homeland, weather, predators and strengths — leafcutters haul double, army ants fight like nothing else, weavers make their trails last.

CANYONS, SWAMPS, MEADOWS AND SCREE
Route around sandstone cliffs, winding pools and fields of rubble. Every board is generated fresh.

GROW A STRONGER COLONY
