Muse

Every poem in the app is original, written for Muse in 13 languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian. Choose a language and the whole app follows, from the poems to every menu.

★ A POEM FOR EVERY MOOD
Comfort, Love, Longing, Hope, Nature, Seasons, Night & Sleep and Life. Each mood has its own pace of reading, its own music and its own painted background.

★ READ ALOUD, THE WAY A POEM SHOULD BE
The title, a pause, then each line with room to breathe, and a longer silence between stanzas. The line being read glows on screen so you can follow along. Adjust the reading speed to suit you.

★ 500 CALMING BACKGROUND TRACKS
30 featured pieces plus 470 gently generated ones: piano, strings, music box, rain, wind, waves and crickets. Music follows the mood of each poem automatically, or pick your favourite track. The music softens while a line is read and rises again between poems.

★ FALL ASLEEP TO POETRY
Set the sleep timer (15–90 minutes). Muse finishes the poem it is reading, then fades the music out. Reading continues with the screen off.

★ QUIET BY DESIGN
• No account, no sign-up – works offline
• Ads never appear while a poem is being read or the screen is off
• One-time purchase removes all ads forever

Good for winding down at night, a quiet break during the day, or hearing how poetry sounds in another language.

Tip: Muse uses your phone's text-to-speech voices. If a language has no voice installed yet, the app shows a button to install it.

New poems and music are added with updates.
