Apply Anyway

Apply Anyway is a free, unofficial NYC SNAP (food stamps) guide.

We do not file your application. We do not ask for your Social Security number. The city decides.

Apply on the official site: ACCESS HRA
https://www.nyc.gov/accesshra

Then use the ACCESS HRA phone app to upload papers, and call 718-762-7669 for your interview.

This app has:
• A 13-page NYC guide in simple words
• A SNAP guess. Hours and job / self-employment pay are weekly. Rent and benefits are monthly.
• A papers list
• Fill-in letters: boss, official lease, landlord letter, friend, rent-free

Housing papers: official lease, or a landlord letter that you pay rent. If you use the letter instead of a lease, also upload utility bills.

Numbers you type stay on your phone. No account. No ads.

Not ACCESS HRA. Not NYC HRA.
