What distinguishes the heritage of the Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, is the culture of supplication on occasions and other occasions, along with their urging of supplication at all times and in all circumstances, and their frequent and persistent supplication. God Almighty has encouraged supplication; Where He, the Almighty, said: {And your Lord says, “Call upon Me; I will respond to you.”} And He said: {And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.} And He said: {Say, “My Lord would not care for you were it not for your supplication.”} And they also emphasized visiting their holy shrines in special visits and otherwise. It was narrated from them on the authority of Abdullah bin Sinan, on the authority of Abu Abdullah, peace be upon him, who said: While Al-Hussein bin Ali, peace be upon him, Peace be upon him, in the lap of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace, when he raised his head and said to him: O father, what is for the one who visits you after your death? He said: O my son, whoever visits me after my death will have Paradise, and whoever visits your father after his death will have Paradise, and whoever visits your brother after his death will have Paradise, and whoever visits you after your death will have Paradise. Therefore, a huge amount of supplications, visitations, and deeds have been transmitted from them, peace be upon them, in our narrative heritage at all times. Since many books have been written on supplications and visitations, the arrangement of which varies according to the authors' perspectives or the purpose of their writing, it occurred to me to compose a book containing the most important of these supplications, visitations, and deeds, but with a new arrangement that would make it easier for the honorable reader to obtain the supplications, deeds, and visitations he or she seeks. I relied on our reliable sources in quoting them. Whenever a supplication or visitation was found in an earlier source, I quoted from it, even if the source was well-known among tongues, from a later source. The choice was to name it "Ways of Salvation" (On Supplications, Deeds, and Visitations). Given people's need to read today on modern devices, this application was created. It contains features that make it easy for the honorable reader to access what is in the book, such as displaying the most important contents of the book on the front page, the ability to search for a supplication or visitation, changing the font size as needed, placing a bookmark, and easily navigating between topics, with a complete index of the entire book's contents.
