About Sway: Your Say

Sway is where you earn a real say in the rules that affect you.
Set up by a parent, Sway is your space to build judgement about
the online world, show what you can handle, and gain more
independence as you do.

Fair Talk — make your case
Start a structured conversation with your parent about screen
time, apps and independence. Sway helps you put your case
properly, so it lands as a negotiation rather than an argument.

Earn more autonomy
The more you show you can handle, the more say you get. Your
progress is real — it changes what you're trusted with.

Private by design
Your chats stay private. They are not shared with your parent,
though anything suggesting you may be unsafe is flagged so a
trusted adult can help.

Learn from real situations
Work through what actually happens online — pressure, scams,
manipulation, people who aren't who they say they are. Not
lectures.

Grows with you
Younger users get guided activities and a guardian character
of their own. Older users get open conversation and full
negotiation.

WHAT SWAY USES ON THIS DEVICE

Sway is a parental control app, and these are the Android
features a parent's settings rely on.

VPN service — Sway runs a local VPN on the device to filter web
content. This is how a parent's chosen blocks actually take
effect, and it is core to what Sway does. The connection is
encrypted. Sway checks the addresses the device looks up and
blocks the ones a parent has chosen to block. It does not record
which sites are visited.

Accessibility service — Sway uses this to see which app is in
the foreground, so the screen-time limits and app rules a parent
has set can be enforced. It does not record what is typed.

Usage access — Sway shows how long apps have been used, so a
parent and child can agree fair limits from real numbers rather
than guesses.

Display over other apps — Sway shows a reminder on screen when
an agreed limit is reached.

Requires the AI Guardian parent app
A parent account and an invite code are needed to set up Sway.

What’s new

Version 1.0.94 · Updated August 26, 2026

Sway helps children build real online safety skills through short, age-appropriate lessons. Children work through scenarios based on the situations they actually meet online — messages from strangers, pressure from friends, things that don't feel right — and practise what to do before it matters. Content adapts to your child's age, from 5 to 17.
