Aarathanai -Worship Decoration

Aarathanai is a virtual pooja room on your phone: a devotional altar where you light a deepam, offer flowers and fruits, and keep a lamp burning day and night. Place a photo of your favourite god, your kula deivam, or a beloved family member who has become your guiding deity, in a beautiful frame. Decorate it with a fresh flower garland (mala), and perform your daily pooja wherever you are.
🪔 LIGHT THE LAMP — VILAKKU / DEEPAM / DIYA
Light a traditional brass oil lamp (kuthu vilakku) that keeps burning in real time, even when the app is closed. Pour sesame oil (nallennai), castor oil or ghee into the lamp, and watch your Anaiya Vilakku, the unquenched lamp (akhand jyoti), count every hour it stays lit. Prefer candles? Light one or two diya candles in the colours you love.

🌸 FLOWER GARLANDS — MALAI
Adorn the photo with handcrafted flower garlands: Grand Devotional with roses and jasmine, Arali Special, and Jasmine Wonder made with fresh jasmine (malligai). Garlands wilt naturally over three days, like real flowers, and can be replaced automatically from your flower stock.

🕯️ HONOUR YOUR ANCESTORS
For many families, a loved one who has passed on is worshipped as a god. Keep their photo on your altar with a garland and a lamp that never goes out, and remember them in your daily prayers, on their anniversary (thithi / tharpanam day) or during Mahalaya Amavasya.

🍌 OFFERINGS — NAIVEDYAM / PRASAD
Offer betel leaves (vetrilai), bananas, coconut, kumkum, vibhuti and flowers on a banana leaf, just as in a traditional home pooja. Fruits ripen and the leaf dries with time, and fresh offerings are placed from your stock.

📱 GOD LIVE WALLPAPER
Set your altar as a devotional live wallpaper for your lock screen and home screen, with a glowing lamp flame and rising smoke. Your god or ancestor photo wallpaper stays softly blurred behind your apps; tap it to see it clearly, or tap the oil bottle to pour oil into the lamp.

🙏 YOUR DAILY PRAYER COMPANION
Aarathanai is made for daily prayer and devotion: morning and evening aarti, Friday pooja, and festivals such as Diwali, Karthigai Deepam, Navaratri and Pongal. Keep your personal mandir (sami arai) with you and never let your lamp go out.
