Two-thirds of the population want to consume more sustainably, and yet most fail to act on this expressed preference. They are seeking for help to do it. RecipME is here to offer help to everyone, providing everybody with sustainable recipe suggestions!

One Fitted Suggestion at a time!
The dating-like swiping system. Receive recipe suggestions based on your set filters. You can filter on the preparation time, number of ingredients, sustainability level, diets, and allergies.
Include CarbonFoodPrint of recipe
Providing users with an indication of the sustainability of the recipe. Recipes can get 0 to 3 “CarbonFoodPrint” icons, indicating the sustainability level of the meal. The CarbonFoodPrint level is the total of the combination of all the ingredients in the recipe, incorporating the emissions, land use and water use for every ingredient.
User-Generated Content in a standardized format
Combining User Generated Content and Centralized Content Creation. RecipME users have the option to share and upload their own recipes to the application and share it with the RecipME community. Moreover, you have the ability to track your cooking process, becoming an outstanding cook!

Why focus on sustainability in food?
In the battle against climate change, the contribution of our food consumption has long been neglected. However, food accounts for over a quarter (26%) of global greenhouse emissions. A few examples of the environmental impact of our food are given below. But, we are able to turn this around.
