Ryan Thomas Gosling is a Canadian actor, musician, producer and film director. He began
his career as a child actor on the Disney Channel show The Mickey Mouse Club (1993–95),
and went on to appear in other family entertainment shows, including the children's horror
series Are You Afraid of the Dark? (1995) and Goosebumps (1996). He also starred in series
such as Breaker High (1997–98) and Young Hercules, playing the lead role. He built a
reputation in Hollywood for starring in independent films such as his first role in Zero
Tolerance (2001), playing a Jewish neo-Nazi, and Mortal Calculus (2002).
