About Bolt Jam - Screw Puzzle

Bolt Jam is a screw puzzle game where you tap bolts, twist them off their boards, and free up the slots before you run out of room. That's the core loop.
Each level gives you a holding bar with limited slots — your only buffer between a clean solve and a locked board. Tap the wrong bolt first, fill those slots too fast, and the whole board jams up. You'll see exactly where you went wrong. That part stings a little. 🎯


How the puzzle works

· Boards are shaped like cats, stars, and other objects — each one loaded with color-coded nuts and bolts stacked in layers
· Tap a screw to pull it off the board and into your holding bar. Match same color and they clear out automatically
· The catch: bolts underneath are blocked until the ones on top are removed. You're solving a layered sort puzzle, not just tapping randomly
· Run out of holding slots with no matches available — the board is jammed. Screw jam achieved. Start thinking faster


Who this is for

· If you liked water sort puzzle games, tile-matching, or any color block sort game, this scratches a similar itch — with a different tactile feel. Twisting bolts off a board just hits differently than sliding tiles.
· It works well in short sessions. Five minutes on a commute, a level or two before bed. There's no energy system pushing you to stop. Play as long as you want. 📱

We built Bolt Jam because we wanted a casual puzzle game that made us pause before every tap. Not a reflex game. Not a time-pressure game. Just a clean screw and bolt puzzle where the board rewards thinking over speed.
