About pgpmail – Encrypted Email
pgpmail is a native encrypted email app built around open standards.
Message bodies and attachments are encrypted on your Android device before they reach pgpmail servers. OpenPGP and WKD make encrypted email interoperable with compatible providers instead of locking it inside one app. New accounts can use hybrid post-quantum keys, and changed contact keys are never silently trusted.
• Native Android inbox, reader, compose, contacts, folders, labels, drafts, scheduled send, aliases, import/export, and security settings
• On-device encrypt, decrypt, sign, and signature verification
• Passphrase-encrypted private-key sync; the server never receives your password or an openable private key
• Optional app-password encrypted saved sessions
• Generic new-mail wake-ups with private polling fallback
• Encrypted attachments and password-protected links for recipients without a compatible public key
Important limitation: standard email headers are not end-to-end encrypted. Subjects, sender and recipient addresses, timestamps, and message sizes remain visible to mail servers. pgpmail states that boundary plainly so you can choose what belongs in a subject line.
