About Koiton Forned Fitrack
An edge either fits the work or it rubs, folds and burns. Koiton Forned Fitrack is the bench where you settle which, before the tool 🛠️ goes back in the hole.
Set the four angles on a drawn section - rake, relief, point and land - then pick the duty the tool 🛠️ has to cut. The geometry is judged against the window that duty actually allows: relief has to clear the advance per revolution or the heel rubs, rake follows the chip the material makes, land width trades edge life against burnishing. Koiton Forned Fitrack returns a grade out of 100, a delta bar per axis showing how far outside you sit, and the faults that setting will cut, each with the correction it needs.
For the apprentice at the grinder: work the 24 drills across the five stages of a real grind - shape, relieve, hone, deburr, prove. Each drill hands you a wrong ❌ edge and the duty it has to serve, and grades what you do to it against the same engine.
For the fitter whose bit misbehaved: work backwards. Tell the key what the tool 🛠️ did in the hole - it walked, it chattered, it glazed, the corner went - and Koiton Forned Fitrack ranks the ten faults by confidence, giving the geometry reason ❓ for each and the reason it ruled the others out.
For anyone who keeps their own tools 🛠️: hang them on the rack with their measured geometry, photograph each edge as it came off the job and again after the stone, and keep the grind log 📝 against it. Drag ✋ the divider on the split band and the same edge stands before the stone on one side, after it on the other.
Twelve edge types, eight duties, ten faults, and a drawn cross-section behind every one of them. Koiton Forned Fitrack runs on the device 📱, offline 📴, start 🚀 to finish.
