tagsystem

TagSystem is an app that helps blind people orient themselves in spaces by identifying places and points of interest through voice prompts.

Using a smartphone camera, the app recognizes special tags installed in the environment and provides information on location, direction, and distance.

The tags are an optimized version of QR codes, designed to be detected even from several meters away and positioned at head height for easy identification.

When a tag is intercepted, TagSystem immediately reads its content, for example: "services," "bar area," "ATM." Each tag can also include a more detailed description, which can be listened to on request.

The app includes advanced features such as voice prompts for the tag's position in the frame, automatic focus maintenance, and a dynamic flashlight that adjusts the light to reduce battery consumption.

TagSystem can be used in public and private environments, making spaces more accessible and easier to navigate.
