About Koios Care

The Koios Care application is designed to support the participation of Parkinson's Disease patients in clinical trials that aim to develop new therapies for Parkinson's.

To achieve this, the application passively, and unobtrusively, collects sensor information to assess Parkinson's Disease symptom frequency, severity and how they affect different aspects of every-day living; e.g., while eating or while socializing.

More specifically, the Koios Care application consists of two parts. The first part is the coordinating, main mobile application, that is responsible for authentication, passive data collection and secure data upload to the Koios Care cloud. The second part is the complementary Wear OS application, responsible supplementary passive data collection, and securely transferring information to the mobile for upload to the cloud.
