About Pró-Mamá
Because breast milk is considered the best and most complete baby food, the “gold standard” of infant feeding and with the aim of providing quality information for all who wish, regardless of seeking the Unified Health System - SUS, The Municipality of Osório / RS, through the management team of the PRO-MAMA (Municipal Breastfeeding Program of the Municipal Health Secretariat of Osorio) together with the academic community of the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Sul - IFRS - Campus Osorio developed this municipal app focused on breastfeeding and child development.
To start using this app you will need to register your child's date of birth and from then on you will start receiving guidance messages on breastfeeding, vaccines and child development in general. In the first week daily instructions will be sent, then weekly. You can also record with images the main milestones of your baby's development so as not to forget such important moments as, for example, the day you first smiled, the first steps, etc., you can ask your questions or still learn from the doubts of other moms.
The application content has been selected by the PROMAMA team based on current literature. The target audience are mothers of Osorio municipality, but any mother of another city can download the application in virtual stores.
PRO-MAMA was certified in 2019 as a Social Technology by the Banco do Brasil Foundation.
