About KlasKrak: Leren lezen & meer

KlasKrak practices what your child learns in the first year of primary school: recognizing sounds, reading words and sentences, writing the school letter and numbers, telling time, counting up to 20, measuring and money, logical thinking, and the world around them: animals and plants, waste, healthy eating, and traffic. Ten minutes a day is enough.

FOLLOWS WHAT YOUR CHILD LEARNS IN THE CLASSROOM
Every game starts from the learning objectives of the first year of primary school in Flanders, using representations from the classroom: the number splitting house, the crocodile, the ten-bar, the ruler, the food pyramid, and the school letter. When reading, you indicate which letters have already been covered. KlasKrak then creates only words and sentences with *those* letters and automatically expands as soon as you add another one. This works with every reading method, ensuring your child never practices anything they cannot yet read.

EVERYTHING IS READ ALOUD
Every question, every word, and every sound is read aloud. The m sounds like a sustained mmm, not like "em"—exactly how your child learns it in class. After a mistake, KlasKrak immediately shows what is correct and also says the solution out loud: "5 is smaller than 8". This way, your child practices independently, even before they read fluently. Would you rather they hear *your* voice? Record the sounds yourself.

TEN BLOCKS, 47 GAMES
• Letters — which letter do you hear, letter and picture, find the letter, say the sound, and short or long
• Reading — word by picture, which word do you hear, build the word, segmenting and blending, flash reading, and reading and understanding sentences, also with longer words after the last letters
• Clock — reading the clock on the hour and half hour, setting the hands yourself, recognizing which clock you hear, and the digital clock, also 16:00
• Number splitting — the number splitting house and the entire staircase of splits
• Arithmetic — addition and subtraction up to 5, 10 or 20 with beads as a help, number representations, tens and units, patterns, which number to place, comparing with the crocodile and on the number line, measuring with meters, liters and kilograms, and counting money and giving change in the play shop
• Writing — tracing the Flemish school letter and writing it yourself, and the numbers and mathematical symbols with the correct writing direction, with a stylus or just with your finger
• Weather — today's weather and what to wear, reading the thermometer, and the seasons in order
• Days — the week in order, and from the day before yesterday to the day after tomorrow
• World — fauna and flora, plants, sorting waste, healthy eating with the food pyramid, and traffic: signs, the stop line, emergency services, and when you are allowed to cross
• Thinking — programming a little robot, sorting blocks, finding shapes, mirroring, and heavy, long, or full

GROWS WITH YOUR CHILD
Half hours, a clock without numbers, sums and amounts up to 20, more questions per round: you make it harder as soon as they get the hang of it. After every round, your child earns stars.
