ABV Tuner: Whiskey Dilution

ABV Tuner is a purpose-built whiskey tasting tool for bringing different pours to the strength you want, so you can compare the whiskey, not the alcohol strength.

Whiskies are bottled at very different strengths. ABV Tuner calculates how much water to add to a measured pour to reach your chosen tasting ABV, then builds on that simple calculation with tools designed specifically for comparative whiskey tasting.

QUICK DILUTION

Enter your pour size, bottle ABV and target ABV. ABV Tuner calculates the water to add and your approximate final volume.

FLIGHT EQUALISER

Prepare several whiskies at the same target strength. Choose equal starting pours or equal final tasting volumes and let ABV Tuner calculate each glass individually.

PROGRESSIVE DILUTION

Explore how a whiskey changes as its strength is gradually reduced. Step through controlled dilution stages without having to recalculate each addition yourself.

TASTING PROFILES

Record structured Nose, Palate, Finish and Overall notes, plus an optional score. Build tasting profiles and keep your observations connected to the whiskey and session that produced them.

COMPARATIVE & BLIND TASTING

Compare several whiskies side by side, rank them and conduct blind tastings without revealing their identities until you choose to reveal the flight.

YOUR WHISKEY LIBRARY

Save the bottles you return to, add an optional on-device photo, reuse their details in future tastings and keep your tasting history together.

PRACTICAL MEASUREMENT TOOLS

Choose Automatic regional units, millilitres, US fluid ounces or Imperial fluid ounces. Use calibrated measuring tools to make small water additions easier during a tasting. Language and volume-unit preferences remain independent.

Quick Dilution is available free. A single ABV Tuner Pro upgrade unlocks the advanced tasting, flight, library and measurement tools. No subscription is required.

Built for the tasting table, not the cloud. Core features work offline and require no account. Saved whiskey photos are processed and stored on your device.

ABV Tuner is designed as a practical tasting tool. Dilution calculations use the conventional approximation that liquid volumes are additive and are not intended as laboratory measurements.
