About Vienna SOS
Vienna SOS is an independent service by EM Consulting. It does not represent any government entity and is not affiliated with the City of Vienna or the Austrian government. Its explanations and AI reports are not official government responses.
Understand a situation involving Vienna: letters, documents, housing, work, studying, transport, family and everyday questions. For residents, newcomers and tourists; you do not need to be in Vienna to use it.
Sources of government information
• City of Vienna: public office and service contacts:
https://www.wien.gv.at/kontakt/
• Austrian government portal: documents and administrative procedures:
https://www.oesterreich.gv.at/de
• City of Vienna, MA 50: housing allowance (Wohnbeihilfe) requirements and applications:
https://www.wien.gv.at/amtswege/wohnbeihilfe-antrag
• Original Wohnbeihilfe reference form:
https://www.wien.gv.at/pdf/ma50/formular-wiener-wohnbeihilfe.pdf
• City of Vienna: residence titles for third-country nationals:
https://www.wien.gv.at/amtswege/aufenthalt-drittstaaten-ueberblick
• AMS: employment of foreign workers:

Reports identify the sources used. Check the original sources for current information and requirements. These links do not imply partnership with or endorsement of Vienna SOS by those organisations.
How it works
• Import a PDF, JPEG, PNG or WebP file up to 20 MB using the Android file picker. Files are checked on the server before use.
• Describe your situation and question (up to 12,000 characters). Choose Basic or Premium and a report language: Russian, English, German, Ukrainian, Simplified Chinese, Arabic, Hindi or Turkish.
• Confirm the start separately. Analysis does not begin before confirmation.
• Read the completed AI report in the app, download a PDF or send feedback.
Reports include a summary, facts from your material, possible next steps and identified deadlines, scenarios and assumptions, follow-up questions, limitations and cited sources.
Before installing
• You need an existing Vienna SOS account created on the website, with a verified email address. There is no sign-up inside the app.
• The interface supports the same eight languages. On first launch it uses a supported phone language, or English. Change and save your choice in Language. The report language is separate and can be changed before analysis.
• Analysis uses credits already on your account. The app does not sell anything or process payments.
• For adults aged 18+. AI may make mistakes. Reports are for information only, not legal, tax, financial or medical advice. No favourable decision from an authority is guaranteed.
• This is not an emergency service. Contact the appropriate emergency service in an emergency.
• Health-related cases are disabled. Do not upload medical data; remove it from documents first.
Data and features
Data transmission is encrypted. The app does not access your location, camera, microphone or contacts and has no ads or analytics trackers. Documents and questions are processed by Microsoft Azure OpenAI in the EU and stored with Hetzner in Germany. Cases and accounts can be deleted on the website.
The account section shows case history, remaining credits and contract confirmations. The unmodified MA 50 Wohnbeihilfe form is provided for reference, with separate Vienna SOS explanations. You cannot fill in or submit a government application through the app.
