Photo Identification (Automated Identification)

With fully automated photo identification, the user carries out the individual identification steps independently and is identified using the uploaded official ID document and their own portrait photos. The biometrics of his photos, the integrity of his ID card (including the data it contains) and a liveness check are carried out.

In the case of an ID document with a chip, the personal data is stored electronically and signed on the ID chip. As part of the Foto-Ident CHIP procedure, the data on the chip is read out and checked using an app and smartphone.
