Keep your tablet in portrait for everyday use. When you enter YouTube fullscreen, RoteCat switches the screen to landscape and restores your previous rotation settings when you leave.

YOUTUBE FULLSCREEN AUTO-ROTATION
• Automatically switch to landscape when entering fullscreen while using your tablet in portrait mode.
• Restore your previous rotation settings when leaving fullscreen.
• YouTube Shorts are excluded from automatic fullscreen rotation.
• Choose left or right rotation to suit how you use your tablet.
• Supports YouTube fullscreen playback in the YouTube app and supported browsers, including Chrome, Brave, and Samsung Internet.

FLOATING ROTATION BUBBLE
• Display a floating cat icon over your screen.
• Tap once to rotate, then tap again to restore your previous direction.
• Choose your preferred turn direction.
• Enable or disable the bubble whenever you need it.

QUICK SETTINGS TILE
• Access rotation control from your Quick Settings panel.
• Toggle between a rotated screen and your previous direction.
• Choose left or right rotation.

NOTIFICATION CONTROLS
• Select portrait or landscape from the notification panel.
• Use Reset to restore your previous rotation settings.
• Control screen direction without opening RoteCat.

PER-APP ORIENTATION
• Set a preferred screen direction for individual apps.
• Search your installed apps to find the settings you need.
• Enable or disable per-app orientation control.
• Keep apps without an override on their system-controlled orientation.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE
• Turn features on or off to match your needs.
• Enable background operation to keep rotation controls available after closing the app from recent apps.

GETTING STARTED
Open RoteCat and grant the required permissions. Enable Video Auto-Rotation, then play a YouTube video and enter fullscreen while using your tablet in portrait mode.

You can also enable the floating bubble, add the Quick Settings tile, or configure per-app orientation settings for more control.

PERMISSIONS
RoteCat uses an accessibility service to detect supported fullscreen playback and the active app for enabled per-app orientation features. Permission to change system settings is required for rotation control. The floating Rotation Bubble also requires permission to display over other apps.

Enable only the features and permissions you need.

ADS AND OPTIONAL DEVELOPER SUPPORT
RoteCat includes banner ads. An optional one-time developer support purchase removes ads within RoteCat. It does not remove ads from YouTube or other apps.

COMPATIBILITY
Automatic YouTube fullscreen rotation is designed primarily for Android tablets. Other rotation controls are also available on compatible Android devices.

Behavior may vary depending on your device, Android version, browser, and video player. Not all embedded players or in-app browsers are supported.
