Penalty Shootout is built around a simple soccer challenge where the player must keep the ball in the air for as long as possible. At the bottom of the screen is a player who can be moved left and right by touching the ball. The ball falls from above, and the player's task is to head it back at the right time to continue the streak.

In Penalty Shootout, each successful header increases the counter. Finding a rhythm is easy at first, but after a few headers, the ball begins to require more precise movements. The player must carefully monitor the trajectory, quickly move the player, and prevent the ball from going wide.

The main tension in Penalty Shootout comes from momentary errors. If the ball misses the player's head, the attempt starts over, so every second demands concentration. Simple controls make the game accessible, but maintaining a long streak becomes increasingly challenging.
