Paint soaks into the paper and spreads. Layer a color while wet and the edges bleed together. Once it dries, the color beneath shows through.
Every stroke simulates the paint, water and paper.

■ Mixes like real paint

Colors mix like real pigments: blue and yellow make green, and overmixing turns muddy.
More water loosens the stroke; less leaves brush marks.

• Airbrush (5): Spray, Even, Spatter, Detail, Dust. Air pressure sets the grain
• Digital (2): an even pen and a soft airbrush

Choose any paper color and adjust tooth, retention and absorption for each paper. The picker previews every texture.

■ Tilt and the paint runs

Wet paint runs the way you tilt the device and stays put where it dries.

■ Your process as a timelapse

Every stroke is recorded as a 15x video, with no setup. Play it in the app or export MP4.

■ Light your painting

Place up to 8 lights and set position, height, aim, intensity, color temperature and size, plus global ambient light and saturation.
Impasto and gold leaf change with the light's angle.

■ Three brush types

Switch between brush, eraser and finger. The finger smudges paint; the pencil eraser works like a kneaded eraser, sparing the paper.

■ Nothing gets in the way

• One finger draws; two pan, zoom and rotate
• Long press for the eyedropper
• Two-finger tap to undo, three to redo
• Size and opacity sliders on screen, saved per brush and mode
• Autosaves whenever you pause

Supports stylus pressure, tilt and orientation. Tilt the pen and the brush tilts too.

■ Collect colors

Color wheel, palette or sliders, with history. Unlimited palettes you can rearrange.
Drag the color button onto the canvas to fill an area, with adjustable tolerance.

• Clear a layer, or fix its paint while wet. Change the background color

Watercolor: water, pigment, drying, capillarity, granulation, backruns.
Oil: bristle count, furrow depth, press, push, color pickup.
Pencil: graphite-to-clay ratio, wax film, paper crush.
