Lexpad: AI Flashcards & Vocab

Lexpad is an AI vocabulary notebook and flashcard app for the words you meet in real life. Save a word from a book, a show, an article or a chat: AI writes the flashcard, and spaced repetition brings it back just before you would forget it.

Lexpad does not hand you a word list. You build your own, and that is why the words stick: they come from your own reading, listening and conversations.

Save words in seconds
• Type a word and tap Fill with AI: meanings, example sentences with translations, pronunciation (IPA), part of speech and level (A1 to C2). Change anything you like.
• Paste a text and tap the words you want to learn. Then add the meanings yourself or with Fill with AI.
• Add a list of your own words at once and check every card before it is saved.
• Import the words you looked up or highlighted on a Kindle, an Anki deck (.apkg), or a two-column CSV or TSV file from another flashcard app.
• Words with no meaning yet, after an import or a pasted list? One tap fills every one of them with AI. It only adds: nothing you wrote is replaced.

Practice a little every day
• Today shows the words that are due, then a few new ones.
• Flashcards, recall, multiple choice, fill-in-the-gap examples, spelling and listening.
• Games and drills with your own words: Match, Speed round, Dictation, Sentence builder and Collocations.
• Five Leitner boxes: remember a word and it waits longer (1, 3, 7 and 21 days, then up to a year). Miss it and it comes back today.
• Or switch a notebook to the Smart schedule (beta), built on the open FSRS algorithm, with a memory target you choose.
• A daily reminder at your time that says how many words are due. A streak, and a streak freeze for a day you miss.

81 languages, any pair
Build your vocabulary in Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, German, Italian, English or any of 81 languages, with meanings in the language you choose. Right-to-left languages such as Arabic and Hebrew are shown properly. AI cards are strongest in widely spoken languages.

Offline first, synced everywhere
Your notebook lives on your phone. Practice works with no connection and syncs when you are back online: the web app (app.lexpad.app), the browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Firefox, and the desktop app for Mac and Windows (beta). AI cards and Lex need a connection.

• The desktop app saves a word from any app on your computer with one shortcut.

Works with ChatGPT and Claude
Connect ChatGPT or Claude to your notebook. Ask it to save the words you talked about, quiz you on the words that are due, and record your answers as practice. You allow the connection and can remove it at any time.

The free plan has one notebook with unlimited words, every practice type, both schedules, the games, offline use, sync, import and export, sharing, the extension, the desktop app, the ChatGPT and Claude connection, and AI cards every day within a daily allowance.

Lexpad Pro adds:

Your data
No ads. Lexpad asks before anything you type is sent to its AI provider. Export your notebook at any time, and delete your account in Settings. Servers in the EU (Frankfurt).
