Ecoheroes: Guardians of the Earth is an educational video game that combines fun and environmental awareness. Inspired by the classic mechanics of Pac-Man, it invites you to put yourself in the shoes of Puntture. He is a friendly character committed to sustainability, and his goal is to clean up the most significant natural areas of the Basque Country.
He travels through 12 progressive levels set in four real scenarios: the Flysch of Zumaia, the Gorbeia Natural Park, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe and the Harria Natural Park of Aia. In each maze, he collects waste such as plastic bottles, cans, masks, cigarette butts and tetra packs, while you get rid of the dirt.
Each piece of waste collected activates an interactive question about recycling, sustainability and the impact of pollution. The correct answer allows you to obtain temporary power-ups: a recycling mode to neutralize enemies, extra speed or the magnetic attraction of nearby waste. As you complete each level, you will find real-time data on degradation times and ecological tips.
The game offers a progression system with ecological badges, alternative Punctura designs and optional challenges, such as completing levels without losing lives or answering all questions without mistakes. The difficulty gradually increases with more complex mazes and more aggressive enemies.
Designed for all ages, Ekoheroiak is perfect for children, young people and families. All text, menus, narration and questions are in Basque, with integrated audio so that even the youngest can enjoy it without having to read. A game designed to learn, have fun and care for our natural environment.
