About Saanjha
Wholesale prices are not a secret. They are four kilometres away, at 6 AM, and they sell in 25 kilo crates.
Saanjha began as thirty households buying one crate together. It is now the whole high street of your neighbourhood — its shops, its restaurants and the people who come and fix things — on one screen.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
SHOPS. Buy from the shops around you. The kirana, the bakery, the chemist — their real stock at their real prices, for delivery or for collection, whichever you prefer.
Scan and Go. Walk into a shop that runs it, scan things as you put them in your bag, and show the counter a code instead of standing in the queue.
RESTAURANTS. Order from the restaurants and home kitchens near you. Full menus with dish sizes and options, and an order you can follow from the kitchen to your door.
SERVICE PROVIDERS. Salons, repairs, tuition, cleaning — see who is available, choose the particular person you want, read their bio, and take a slot that suits you.
BUYING TOGETHER. Split a wholesale crate. Someone in your building is already going to the market this week. They open a trip, you add two kilos of onions instead of twenty-five, and you collect it downstairs.
Ask the neighbourhood. Post what you need and let the shops around you quote for it.
SELL WHAT YOU ALREADY SELL
If you run a shop, Saanjha is a till, not a stall in someone else's marketplace.
• List your products at your own prices, and change them in seconds
• Take orders for delivery or collection, and print a slip the moment one arrives
• Run a kitchen with a full menu, dish sizes and options
• Hand an order to a delivery partner, and let the buyer follow it
• Share your shop with your own customers using a QR code
BUILT ON TRUST, NOT ON PROMISES
You are handing money to a neighbour and waiting for them to come back with your groceries. That only works if you know who you are dealing with.
• Every member verifies their phone number before they can do anything at all
• Hosting a trip, or collecting cash for one, requires higher verification that is earned over time
• A kitchen cannot trade until its food licence is on file
• Standing is derived from what someone has actually done — orders completed, trips hosted, handovers confirmed — never assigned by us and never bought
• A member who stops delivering loses the ability to host
You can see the verification level of the person you are buying from before you commit a rupee.
WHAT IT COSTS
Nothing to join. You pay your share of what was actually bought, and the app shows what that saved you against the retail price for the same goods.
YOUR PRIVACY IS NOT THE PRODUCT
• Your location is never tracked in the background. Nothing in Saanjha needs to know where you are when the app is closed.
• The microphone is used only while you are holding the voice search button, and only to turn what you say into a search. Nothing is recorded and nothing is kept.
• Finding neighbours already on Saanjha uses encrypted phone hashes. Your contact list never leaves your device.
• You can delete your account from inside the app — Profile, then Delete account. We tell you exactly what is removed, and what tax law requires us to keep, before you confirm.
BUILT FOR HOW PHONES ARE ACTUALLY USED HERE
• Runs on a 2GB device
• Designed for a patchy connection — your data appears before the network answers, not after
• Search by voice, for when typing is the slow way
• Sign in with a code on WhatsApp. No password to remember, no email required.
• Dark mode, properly — not an inverted afterthought
Saanjha is in private pilot with a small number of residential societies.

Love this idea. Great way to split wholesale crates with neighbors and save some cash on groceries.
