How it works
- Pick the app you’d like to build something like: paste its Google Play or App Store link.
- Choose your tool and stack: Claude Code or Cursor, Lovable or Bolt, FlutterFlow, or a product spec; Flutter, React Native, SwiftUI or Kotlin.
- Copy the prompt into your AI tool. It starts with the screens and the data model, then builds the MVP one screen at a time.
What’s in the prompt
- The idea and the audience, from the store listing.
- Features, split into a first version (MVP) and later.
- How it makes money: paid, in-app purchases with their price range, ads.
- What to do better: recent 1- and 2-star reviews of the reference app, so your version fixes what its users dislike.
- Store readiness: privacy policy, account deletion, support page and app-ads.txt, which both stores ask for.
Inspired by, not a copy
Solving the same problem as another app is fair competition. Copying it isn’t: Google Play’s impersonation policy and the App Store’s guideline 4.1 reject apps that reuse another app’s name, icon, screenshots or text. The prompt tells your AI tool to make the name, design and words original, and to compete on what the reference does badly.
When your app is ready
Generate its privacy policy, terms and account deletion page, make an icon, screenshots and a feature graphic, then check the listing with the ASO audit.
