Vellon - Loyal to Coffee

VELLON is a café, an ice cream parlor and a cocktail bar on Strada Ialomicioarei, in Bucharest. This is its app: an account, a Velly to feed and beans for each scanned receipt.

MEET VELLY
Velly is the character of the café and lives in your phone. Each visit feeds him. After three days without you he is sad, after seven he falls asleep, and wakes up the next time you visit the café, not from a tap in the app. He never dies. Visits take him from level to level, and the beans buy him hats, cups, backgrounds and, from time to time, a seasonal skin.

SCAN THE VOUCHER
A code is printed on each VELLON receipt. You point the camera at it and the visit goes into your account: the beans come, Velly eats, the series grows. Don't have your receipt handy? Show your code from the app and the barista will scan it.

BEANS, SERIES, MISSIONS
Beans are the house's currency. Come day after day and the series multiplies what each visit brings. Skip a day and, once a month, you can save the series for a few beans. Every Monday at eight, three new missions arrive; you complete them and claim the beans. Two hours after a visit, we ask you how it was, and the answer also brings beans.

RANKS AND WHAT I BRING
Your rank tracks what you've ordered over time, and each rank comes with its own privileges. You keep coming and moving up. You miss ninety days and it drops, with a two-week warning.

WALLET
Coupons come with your rank, with the missions and on your birthday, and you show them at the bar. There's also a stamp card, for days when you don't feel like scanning: the eighth coffee is on the house. Every bean earned and given is in the history.

COFFEE PASSPORT
Each origin that the cafe pours is a page. You try it, write it down, check it off.

FRIENDS
A weekly ranking that resets on Sunday night. Give a friend something for their Velly, paid for with beans. If you want, show your friends when you're at the cafe: it's turned off by default and only visible while you're in the cafe. And send them your code. After your friend's first order, you both get a coffee.

SMALL BUT IMPORTANT
You log in with email, Apple or Google. Romanian and English. Open and closed mode. Notifications only for what matters: beans received, the coupon that expires tonight, Monday's missions. We only ask for the camera to read the code on the receipt, and nothing is recorded. Your birthday is a day and a month; we don't care about the year. You can delete your account at any time, from the app.
