Strażnik

Strażnik is an unofficial, independent app. It collects publicly available signals about possible air threats over Poland and displays them on a single map. It does not replace sirens, RCB (Central Board of Control) alerts, or RSOs—it is an additional source intended to provide information a few minutes earlier.

WHAT IT DOES

• Live map: air objects from open ADS-B data, time zones designated by PANSA (Polish Air Navigation Service), alerts in Ukrainian regions, official RCB alerts, and media reports.
• Voivodeship-by-voivodeship scoring. No single signal triggers an alert—only several independent events raise the level simultaneously.
• Audible and full-screen alerts when the level in the monitored voivodeship exceeds the threshold. Red alerts require a key: an official RCB alert or an object that could be over the voivodeship within 15 minutes.
• Notifications for selected voivodeships, even when the app is closed.
• Scrollable history from the last 12 hours. • CAVE: nearest shelter locations from the State Fire Service (PSP) list, route, and procedures from the government advisory.
• Polish, English, and Ukrainian.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO

• Does not anticipate an attack and does not guarantee a warning. Sources may be delayed or incomplete.
• Does not replace the decisions of the authorities. In the event of a real threat, RCB (Counter Security Council) announcements and emergency services' orders apply.

PRIVACY

• No accounts, logins, advertising, or analytics.
• Location is optional and never leaves the phone. The device itself searches for the nearest shelters. The only exception is a route you request: the position and destination are then sent to a public route server, which calculates the route and does not record anything. We never see these coordinates.
• Notifications are delivered by Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). The alert is sent to the "topic" corresponding to the province, not to specific phones. Google processes the app's install ID according to its own policy—our server doesn't maintain a list of devices or their identifiers, so we don't know who receives notifications or how many phones are being monitored by a given province.

The Google Play Store version is updated through the store. The source code and release notes are public.
