What to draw and how to draw it (Edwin G. Lutz)
A cartoon drawing masterpiece from Edwin G. Lutz, the man who inspired Walt Disney to do his famous animation. A 19 year-old Walt said he discovered Lutz's book Animated Cartoons: How They Are Made, while working for the Kansas City Film Ad Company. From the book, he learned many of the tricks required to hold and repeat drawings. There is very little known about Lutz, although he wrote numerous books on drawing and animation. Lutz largely made his living creating cartoons for newspapers such as the New York Herald and Philadelphia Press.
