Fliks

Personal media server management and playback system.

Fliks is a client application designed to index, organize, and stream your digital content libraries. It transforms file folders stored locally or on a remote server into a structured database.

Core Features:
Library Management: Scans your directories and automatically matches files with metadata databases to display titles, summaries, cast information, and cover art.

Multi-format Playback: Native support for most modern video and audio codecs, including management of embedded or external subtitle files (.srt).

Playback Synchronization: Tracks "watched" status per user account, allowing you to resume content on any synchronized device.

Filtering and Search: Navigation by categories (Movies, TV Shows, Collections), genre, release year, or via a text-based search engine.

Client-Server Architecture: Designed to connect to a media server instance, enabling access to your content over a local network or remotely.

Fliks focuses on fluid navigation and logical file organization to provide easy access to large media collections.
