About Postkey: Vault & File Transfer

Postkey sends files with a link that expires and keeps what should stay in a private vault. Send holiday photos to your family, a contract to your tax office or a video to a friend with a link that stops working after the time you pick. Everything is encrypted on your device before upload; the server stores your files, notes and their names only in encrypted form.

SECURE FILE TRANSFER WITH LINKS THAT EXPIRE
Put photos, videos, documents or a ZIP into a card, tap Share and send the link by chat or email. The recipient needs no account and no app, only a web browser. Photos, videos, music and PDF, Word and Excel files open right there in the browser.
- The link works for 1 hour up to 1 year
- You choose how many times it can be opened
- An optional password protects the link
- View only by default: no download button and no copying, unless you allow it
- Share a whole card or just one file from it
- Change the time and the number of opens later, or delete the link at once
- Shared lists every card with a live link

CARDS THAT CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES
A card holds a title, a text and files. In the Temporary vault every card has a time from 1 hour to 1 year and disappears with its files when the time is up: a file for a colleague, a boarding pass, a code you need only today.

THE PERMANENT VAULT: WHAT SHOULD STAY
The Permanent vault keeps cards until you delete them, like a wallet you always have with you: scans of your ID and passport, contracts, receipts, recovery codes, private photos and notes. A card deleted from it first goes to the trash.

PASSWORDS AND SECRETS
Logins, Wi-Fi passwords, PINs, API keys and recovery codes live as encrypted notes next to your files, synced and searchable. Hide a card and the list shows only its title; Postkey can ask for your fingerprint or password before it shows it. Postkey does not autofill passwords into websites or apps.

FIND AND OPEN EVERYTHING
- A bar for the Temporary vault, the Permanent vault, Favourites and Shared
- A gallery of all your photos, videos, documents and links
- Videos start while they load; music shows title and cover, with controls on the lock screen
- PDF, Word and Excel preview on the device, ZIP archives as a folder tree without unpacking
- Source code with colors and line numbers, photos with pinch to zoom
- Search runs on your device and finds texts, titles and file names

GETTING THINGS IN
Pick files or photos, paste text or an image, share into Postkey from another Android app, or use the home screen widget and the quick settings tile. A new card opens on the whole screen.

SECURITY
- End-to-end encryption with AES-GCM 256 on your device, with a key of its own for every file
- Your password does not leave the device; the sign-in proves it without sending it
- Share links carry their own key after the # sign, with an optional password
- Passkeys, two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app, recovery codes
- Fingerprint unlock sealed in the Android Keystore, app lock and Lock now
- A list of devices and sign-out of the others
- The app runs its own code from the signed app, not the server

ADS AND ANALYTICS
The current version of Postkey contains no ads and no analytics SDKs.

ACCOUNTS
Sign up with your email address and a code, or continue with Google. A free account currently has limits on notes and storage, shown in the app.

Some features may be available only with a paid plan or as an in-app purchase, now or in the future. The app shows this, with the price, before anything is charged.
