Unhook: App & Porn Blocker

Unhook helps you break free from phone
addiction, social media, and adult content.

── SMART APP BLOCKING ──
Uses Android Accessibility Service (with
your explicit permission) to detect when
a blocked app is opened and show an
intervention screen in real time.

Block Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat,
Facebook, X, Reddit and 30+ distracting apps.
Set time limits or block completely.

Normal mode — gentle friction when you slip
Strict mode — breathing exercise required,
no quick escape

── CONTENT SHIELD (VPN) ──
Unhook uses a local VPN service to filter
adult content at the DNS level. The VPN
blocks 170,000+ adult websites system-wide
across all browsers.

No traffic is routed through external servers.
All filtering happens on your device. Only
DNS requests for known adult domains are
blocked — all other internet traffic is
completely unaffected. The VPN is
user-controlled and can be disabled at
any time.

── KEYWORD DETECTION ──
Accessibility Service detects adult keywords
typed in Chrome, Firefox, UC Browser, Opera
and 20+ browsers before content loads and
closes the tab automatically. SafeSearch
enforced on Google, Bing and YouTube.

── AI COACH ──
A personal accountability partner that
knows your goals and triggers. Available
the moment urges hit hardest.

── FOCUS TIMER ──
5 to 120 minute sessions. Earn streak
points for every minute focused. Monthly
time saved tracked automatically.

── STATS ──
See which apps consume your time daily.
Real open counts. AI insight on your most
used app.

── ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE ──
Unhook uses Android Accessibility Service
to power its core app blocking and browser
keyword detection features.

With your explicit permission, Accessibility
Service is used to:
- Detect when a blocked app is opened and
display the intervention screen
- Detect adult keywords in browsers before
content loads
- Enforce focus sessions and screen time
limits
- Provide real-time protection against
distracting apps

Accessibility data is processed entirely
on your device and is never used to collect
personal information, monitor activity, or
serve advertising. The service is completely
optional and can be disabled at any time
in Android Settings → Accessibility.
