Rehnuma Awaz (رہنما آواز) is an on-device Urdu and English Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine for Android, built primarily for blind and visually impaired users. Once installed and selected as your device's speech engine, Rehnuma Awaz reads text aloud anywhere Android's TTS system is used — including with TalkBack and other screen readers, e-book and PDF readers, messaging apps, and any app that supports Android's text-to-speech output.

• **System Text-to-Speech Engine:** Install the app, then select "Rehnuma Awaz" in your device's Text-to-Speech settings to make it the voice used by TalkBack, screen readers, and other apps.
• **Natural, Neural Urdu Voices:** Uses on-device neural voice models to produce natural-sounding Urdu speech, without relying on a live internet connection once voices are downloaded.
• **Urdu and English Support:** Includes Urdu and English voices, with automatic language detection so the correct voice is used when text switches between the two languages.
• **Voice Manager:** Browse, download, and manage additional voice packs, or add a custom voice model, directly from the app.
• **Try Voices:** Preview any installed or available voice before setting it as your default.
• **Speech Settings:** Adjust speech rate and pitch to match your listening preference.
• **Custom Pronunciation Dictionary:** Add your own word-to-pronunciation entries to correct words the engine reads incorrectly.

### Setup

After installing, go to **Settings > Accessibility > Text-to-Speech output** (or **Settings > System > Languages & input > Text-to-Speech output** on some devices), select **Rehnuma Awaz** as the preferred engine, then download an Urdu voice from within the app's Voice Manager.
