Hounii: Your Neighbourhood

Hounii is a hyperlocal community app for your neighbourhood, at home and wherever you go.

Most social apps show you the whole internet. Hounii shows you your street. Every post is tied to a real administrative area, not a vague GPS circle, so your feed is the people and places that are genuinely local to you.

A FEED THAT FOLLOWS YOU
Set your home neighbourhood once and see what is happening where you live. Step outside it and switch to "on the move" to see what is around you right now. One tap brings you home.

NO ALGORITHM
Posts appear in the order they were written. Nothing is ranked, boosted or hidden from you.

WHAT NEIGHBOURS SHARE
• Updates and notices from your street
• Questions, when you need a recommendation or a hand
• Recommendations for the cafes, shops and parks worth knowing
• Events, with RSVPs, from open-air films to street parties
• Things to buy, sell or give away

GROUPS
Join local groups with their own feed and topics, run a poll, or organise around a shared street, school or hobby. Already have a WhatsApp group? Make it discoverable to the neighbours around you.

PLACES YOU CARE ABOUT
Save the places you love, group them into lists you can share, and get a reminder when you are nearby. Save a place straight from a link someone sent you.

FIND LOCAL HELP
Discover service providers and businesses near you, see what they offer, and message them directly.

MESSAGES
Message a neighbour one to one, without handing over your phone number.

LOCAL ALERTS (GERMANY)
In Germany, Hounii brings in public-transport disruptions, weather warnings and civil-protection alerts for your area from DWD, NINA, MeteoAlarm, Deutsche Bahn and RMV. Hounii is not an official warning channel; always follow the authorities' own instructions.

PRIVACY
• We collect the minimum needed to run the service
• No cross-app advertising tracking
• Your exact home address is never shown to other neighbours
• Delete your account and your data at any time, in the app or at hounii.com/delete-account

Hounii is built by one person in Oberursel, Germany. If something is broken or missing, write to [email protected]. We read everything.
