About ARQ - Swift Menu

ARQ puts your most-used shortcuts one thumb-hold away, no matter what app you're in.

Press and hold anywhere on the faded edge overlay, and the Wheel blooms open right where your thumb is. Slide - don't tap - to the shortcut you want, and lift your finger to launch it. Volume, brightness, and similar tiles turn into a smooth rotating dial you can scrub with your thumb.

HOW IT WORKS
- Hold the edge to open the Wheel at your exact touch point
- Slide to a tile, feel a haptic tick as you cross into it
- Lift to launch - no tapping, no menus, no second screen

WHAT YOU CAN ADD TO THE WHEEL
- App shortcuts and Speed Dial contacts
- Volume, brightness, rotation lock, and Do Not Disturb toggles
- Quick links to Maps, Spotify, YouTube Music, WhatsApp, Chrome, Reddit, X, and Gmail
- Custom navigation waypoints (via pasted map links)
- Contextual Profiles that automatically switch your Wheel layout based on the app you're currently using

BUILT AROUND YOUR PRIVACY
Arq has no internet permission at all - it's structurally unable to send data anywhere. Everything you configure is stored locally on your device using Android's DataStore, and nothing is ever transmitted, logged remotely, or shared with anyone, including the developer.

Arq's more sensitive permissions - Contacts and Phone - are entirely optional and only ever requested the moment you choose to use a specific feature that needs them (like picking a contact for Speed Dial, or enabling direct-call mode). Manual alternatives are always available if you'd rather not grant them.

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE USAGE
Arq uses Android's Accessibility Service to detect your press-and-hold gesture on the edge overlay and to display the Wheel at your point of touch - this is the core mechanism that makes the app work. Arq's use of this service does not include reading your screen content, reading other apps' data, logging keystrokes, recording audio, or performing actions inside other apps. Before requesting this permission, Arq shows a dedicated screen explaining exactly what it's used for.
