About Le cahier: French Verb Trainer
Le cahier des verbes is a French verb conjugation trainer for anyone preparing the DELF or DALF exams, and for every learner who wants French verbs to finally stick. It drills conjugation the way the exams test it: one verb, one person, one tense at a time.
1,891 FRENCH VERBS, RANKED BY FREQUENCY
• Every verb labelled by CEFR level, A1 to C1. Tap a level to practise all of its verbs at once
• Full conjugation tables with example sentences: être, avoir, aller, faire and 1,887 more
• Regular -er, -ir and -re verbs, irregular verbs, reflexive verbs and être verbs
• Search with or without accents: "etre" finds « être »
ALL 11 TENSES
Présent, passé composé, imparfait, futur simple, conditionnel, plus-que-parfait, subjonctif, futur antérieur, conditionnel passé, subjonctif passé and passé simple.
THREE QUIZ MODES
• Recognise: pick the correct form from three
• Reverse: see a conjugated form, name the person and tense
• Produce: type the form yourself, with an accent bar for é, è, ê, ç and the rest
SPACED REPETITION THAT TARGETS YOUR MISTAKES
• A Leitner scheduler brings back the verbs you get wrong, sooner
• After each session, replay only the cards you missed, without affecting your progress
• Track your accuracy by tense, verb group and quiz mode, and see your weakest verbs
MADE FOR STUDYING
• Works fully offline: no account, no ads, no tracking
• Dark mode by default, with light and automatic themes
• A short walkthrough on first launch shows you around
