Custos - Keeper of Memory

Custos is a free memorial app for the people and pets you love. Scan a prayer card, import an obituary, add photos, mark a resting place, and share the memorial with family. No ads, no subscriptions, nothing to unlock.

At a wake or funeral, prayer cards and printed obituaries are easy to lose. They end up in drawers, in old coats, in boxes nobody opens. Custos gives them a permanent home on your phone.

CREATE A MEMORIAL IN SECONDS
Point your camera at a prayer card and Custos fills in the name, dates, and prayer. Paste an obituary link from a funeral home website or Legacy.com and the life story fills in on its own. You can also photograph a funeral program, paste text, or build a memorial from scratch.

KEEP THEIR STORY IN ONE PLACE
Add up to four photos, the obituary, a prayer or poem, and the important dates. Pin the memorials that matter most to the top of your home screen.

LEGACY MAP
Mark a grave, cemetery, or scattering place so you can always find your way back.

SHARE WITH FAMILY
Send a link or QR code. Family can view the memorial without the app, or save it in Custos to keep it close.

GENTLE REMINDERS
A quiet notification on birthdays and anniversaries, so the days that matter are never missed.

PET MEMORIALS
Dogs, cats, and every animal who was family get their own memorial design, with a Rainbow Bridge passage and a poem.

FREE FOR FAMILIES. ALWAYS.
Custos was built by one person after he nearly lost his grandmother's prayer card on the flight home from her funeral. It is free, with no ads and no subscriptions. No more paper keepsakes that are easily lost or damaged.
