OGA — Open Golf App

Open Golf App (OGA) — track every shot, get better at golf, free forever.

OGA is a free, open-source golf-tracking app that does what paid apps charge $100+/year for: shot tracking with GPS, strokes-gained analysis against your handicap bracket, per-club shot-pattern dispersion, personalized practice plans, and live-round scoring.

No ads. No paywalls. No premium tier. Built by golfers, for golfers.

What you get
• Track every shot live on the course with GPS-assisted ball and aim placement
• Strokes-gained breakdown — off the tee, approach, around the green, putting — measured against your skill level, not a tour pro's
• Shot-pattern dispersion — see your real spread and miss tendency per club
• Personalized practice plans calibrated to your skill, goals, and the drills you can actually run
• Detailed scorecard with par-relative scoring and round summaries
• Custom bag — track your club lineup and carry distances
• Log past rounds after the fact, or track live as you play
• Free forever, open source, no in-app purchases

What makes OGA different
• Skill-calibrated: a 14-handicap's strokes gained compares to a 14 baseline, not to scratch
• Explicit aim: you set your aim point before the shot, so your dispersion data is real — never guessed
• Lie + slope per shot: filter your patterns by the lie you actually faced

Why free?
We believe getting better at golf shouldn't be paywalled. OGA is sustained by donations and the open-source community.
